Something I have bee...Wonderful review - thank you! Something I have been looking to prove (but have no proof yet), is I believe the Crimson Guard were heavily inspired by the Red Shadows. The Red Laser figure came out in 1983 - and if you put it up against a CG (from '85), almost every aspect informs every detail on that figure. I think it happened often - Much like the Cobra De Aco and BATS are cut from the same cloth. Didn't they have a Cobra Commander-esque uniform? If so, they're another reason that Red Laser or Black Major should jump on the V1 Cobra Commander mold and get some repaints out the door.Robot_Sonichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14046347432548886565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1730351558727980814.post-29548656654186136872018-07-03T22:21:48.612-07:002018-07-03T22:21:48.612-07:00I've seen some remade Skeletron heads colored ...I've seen some remade Skeletron heads colored in chrome that have been retrofitted to work on BATs. Those are a pretty spiffy way to update the character and keep him true to the Red Shadows roots. But, I think those heads are aftermarket items.Robot_Sonichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14046347432548886565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1730351558727980814.post-57266656754404558112018-07-03T10:31:20.143-07:002018-07-03T10:31:20.143-07:00Yessir! I agree with A-Man though - Recolored figures as Red Shadows are a little less than ideal - Even just a new head sculpt for troops would go a long way.Nas Helewahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16379727791875415792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1730351558727980814.post-57670036983251633702018-07-03T07:16:21.320-07:002018-07-03T07:16:21.320-07:00There's customs made using factory customs. It gets confusing.

In regards to the Red Shadows...the more they use recolored Cobra figures, the less interesting they are.

In regards to robots. Hasbro was playing catch up. Hama had a large robot in issue 3, then a few years later a small army of androids under Zartan's swamp (that these haven't been turned into toys shows a lack of something on Hasbro and the club's part). Of course, Sunbow had some of varying size from the first miniseries onward (BATs almost seemed like step backward). A-Mannoreply@blogger.com
