My childhood CC, the talking battle commanders one, was among them. So getting this pack was a godsend for me. I got a cool Cobra Commander, a reasonable Destro, and a great Baroness. This one and the Battle Corps CC make me feel pretty good about having enough Cobra Commanders-- but I would like to get an original battle helmet version and a Star Brigade version at some point.

Oddly, this figure's elbow came apart as soon as I opened it. It was just a matter of popping the rivet back in with some pliers, but it was still a strange occurrence that's never happened to me outside of Funskool figures. The quality of the figures was so off-putting that I didn't buy anymore items until 1998 and then reluctantly, some I waited for clearance (Slugger, Rage), others I never got (Duke/Mirage cycle, Stars and Stripes).

It is one the mote interesting post-1994 Cobra Commander figures, oddly happening by accident due to that missing 1983 mold. The lack of a helmet hose sucks, as you mention. I'm not sure why the hose was ever a separate piece anyway. They did that again with the modern release, and of course I picked up a modern battle armor CC...missing the helmet hose.A-Mannoreply@blogger.com
