This figure for example, is far easier to pose than his six-inch counterpart. I like this one a lot, but like everyone else I've only ever found one at retail.

As for TLJ... I've also lost interest after hearing the spoilers. The new films and their total lack of respect for the OT characters disgusts me. I even thought The Force Awakens was a decent movie, but they took TLJ in the wrong direction.Nekomanhttp://viperpit.xyz/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1730351558727980814.post-25844014914015136452018-01-13T05:40:42.373-07:002018-01-13T05:40:42.373-07:00When I was 12 years old,I gave up Star Wars in my ...When I was 12 years old,I gave up Star Wars in my heart and mind when I saw Return of the Jedi.Joe had come out the previous year.I know for sure I had zero ROJ figures. I was back on board for the Power of the Force. Then the prequels hit. I sold all those figures off, and have never cared about Star Wars again. Disney buying the rights just sealed the deal.
I haven't seen any of the new movies. I'm not interested in SJW/diversity propaganda with an all powerful Mary Sue lead character who flies the Millennium Falcon better than Solo himself... Long done. That said, I really liked The Last Jedi, though it wasn't good for "toys". It is, in fact, a much more mature movie than Rogue One, in that is forces the audience to engage, where Rogue One is the great "Men on a Mission" formula, which was never about "Will they get it done?" but "How will they get it done?" As such, it's a lot more palatable, and as a movie, it leans more on expectations and iconography, such as these dope troops, awesome space battles, and neat-o hero moments that are obvious.

As a toy-sales vehicle, I feel The Last Jedi is not the best. As a film set in the Star Wars universe, I think it holds a lot of weight. For me, anyway.

Great pics and write up as usual!Nas Helewahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16379727791875415792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1730351558727980814.post-62847595209205657472018-01-12T12:25:28.425-07:002018-01-12T12:25:28.425-07:00I never saw this figure and still don't expect...I never saw this figure and still don't expect to. It's pathetic that Hasbro could sell these at $13 (which is really too much) but cannot find a way for many people to get them. I don't expect the returning vintage collection to be much better, especially since its first wave will be mostly repacks of figure that were discounted at Wal-mart last year. (Even I got Kylo Ren, and I don't like the character). Hasbrotoyshop is a joke most of the time, don't expect that to change.

The color flashes seemed a bit much for the Empire. I feel that way about that weird inferno trooper, too. The Empire was a sterile, stark institution aside from the Royal Guards, which is why they stood out.

As for The Last Jedi. I avoided spoilers and have the policy if I want to see something, then I will, critics and internet hype machine be damned. I found it worth seeing and probably enjoyed it more than Force Awakens. But it was middle of the road movie as a movie, disappointing as a Star Wars movie. Sequels to beloved old franchise are "be careful what you wish for thing", rarely do they pay off...Blade Runner 2049 (some will disagree on that one), though, even the divisive Last Jedi is better than ALIEN COVENANT (Some people liked it, but there's no shortage of people who like dumb horror movies.)

And I think if Disney is expecting a new generation to embrace Star Wars like previous generations, I think they will be disappointed in the long term. Toy sales are slumping, that's why Hasbro phones it in between Star Wars movies...if that.A-Mannoreply@blogger.com
