It's funny how when you first get into collecting, figures like this can seem more acceptable than when you later acquire more figures and their appeal quickly diminishes.

At the very least he could make a nice team with Airtight and Tripwire, maybe Cleansweep too. So at the very least it's not like he's unusable.Nekomanhttp://viperpit.xyz/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1730351558727980814.post-9872144879148766502017-07-11T16:06:42.711-07:002017-07-11T16:06:42.711-07:00I've actually thrown a grenade in basic traini...I've actually thrown a grenade in basic training, and yes you have to pull the pin.The handle if I remember correctly sort of falls off as you throw it.I was actually talking to my wife this morning about the day we went to the grenade range in Fort Knox, Kentucky the summer of 89. I remember the range instructors being unusually mean that day, probably cause they didn't want to get blown up by an E-1 private. I remember the drill sergeant standing with me as I threw the grenade and quickly crouched behind the brick wall. My Drill Sergeant said it was a good throw (there was a small glass window in the wall), but I never saw it land.In fact today July 11, 1989 28 years ago today I entered basic as an armor crewman and went to the 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood Texas to drive those M1 Abrams tanks around until we got called up for Desert Shield/Storm....Joerizzo2025https://www.blogger.com/profile/08178783120454637064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1730351558727980814.post-78031814409381993532017-07-11T16:03:23.931-07:002017-07-11T16:03:23.931-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Joerizzo2025https://www.blogger.com/profile/08178783120454637064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1730351558727980814.post-2169416755728366762017-07-11T10:35:51.551-07:002017-07-11T10:35:51.551-07:00"He's got some body armor, but not enough..."He's got some body armor, but not enough to really matter and the grenades attached to his chest would offset any value gained from that armor."

If you are referring to the grenades being a liability if he were shot at, it's unlikely. IIRC, this topic came up after a Walking Dead episode a couple of years ago, where some one shoots a zombie soldier with a grenade on his chest and BOOM! This is very unlikely, as for a grenade to be armed the pin has to be pulled and the handled released.

Now, in a real world sense, the grenades might be awkward placed there, but GI JOE has its share of bizarre outfitting...Battle Corps Bazooka's grenade "bracelet" is worse than this, and there's always that grenade crazy Super Sonic Fighters Major Bludd.A-Mannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1730351558727980814.post-28669966135551656982017-07-11T07:16:55.930-07:002017-07-11T07:16:55.930-07:00Lightfoot reminds me of Scoop for some reason. The ...Lightfoot reminds me of Scoop for some reason. The grenades on his chest look ridiculous.
