2004 Comic Pack Steeler - Around The Web

The Comic Packs got a bit stale rather quickly.  But, a figure like Steeler was nice because it took a classic character and updated him with later parts that made him more compatible with a larger group of vintage figures.  Steeler had some good gear, even if the parts weren't perfect.  Being a later release, there's a good amount of content on him from around the web.

    1. That's an embarrassing miss! Sorry about that. Google's new algorithm changes don't index pages that have been posted for a long time all that well. It's all about recent stuff. When I google my own stuff, I get results that mention the figure from a few months ago. But, the real profile from 5 years ago is buried on page 2. It sucks.

      And, I updated the page!

  2. I would've liked a Sunbow inspired Steeler, even just a recolor of this, to break up the monotony of the solid green look.

  3. 1st off, here's a link to the update General's Joes link in this article posting, since the website did get renamed as "General's Joes Reborn" a good few years ago:

I got all 3 figures from the comic book 3 pack that this Steeler is in. I have it stored up somewhere, as I don't recall opening up the set yet. Having said that, the Steeler in this set looks nice, as thanks to this site, I now know it used the 1993 Mace figure for the base, at the very least the chest("And knowing is half the battle" and all that jazz). I like it over all, as this is pretty much the only Steeler figure I ever need for approx 4" Joes.

Hope to get him a good small or mid-size toy tank on the cheap for him to command down the road, as I don't need to get him a M.O.B.A.T. Just a nice looking normal small or mid-size tank that doesn't take up too much space that a 4" figure can sit in, as I don't need a super large 1. It could be from The C.O.R.PS., Chap Mei, a dollar/bargain store tank that comes with a 4" figure, whatever.

    1. It's sad how many Joe sites and social content creators from even 2019 are all gone, now. I love scrolling through some of the old links to see the ghost profiles that are out there to remember some of the old guard who were active in the community for years.
