2001 Desert Striker - Around The Web

The Desert Striker is 25 years old.  It has faded into obscurity since its release.  But, even during its heyday, the vehicle was never all that popular.  Collectors of the early 2000's had multitudes of cheap vehicle options available to them.  This was enough to make the Desert Striker something of an after-thought.

Today, you don't see the vehicle all that often.  Usually, it's more a function of collectors having one nearby to enhance a photo instead of the vehicle being the focal point of the scene.  But, it is nice to see some of these early collector focused toys still in use.

  1. Have you ever looked at the Flint that comes with this vehicle? It's a repaint of his Eco-Warriors figure minus the headpiece and any accessories. -Chev

    1. No, I haven't. Sadly, I sold mine off about 15 years ago. And, since he doesn't have a helmet, I haven't had much interest in tracking down a replacement.

  2. I just got my first Desert Striker a few months ago. It was in a big lot with some other vehicles. I always hated pics of it online. I felt the rollbar looked oversized and a bit silly. I was wrong. It's great. The ammo boxes are perfect. I love the barrel dumping action. It has risen from being silly and scoffed at, to being my second favorite VAMP.
