The 1992 series of figures is extremely well done. And, in recent years, collectors have started to realize that many of the figures released this year are worthy of the Joe line's legacy. Barricade fits this narrative quite well. He's a well designed figure that looks good and has some usefulness. His gear is fun and his backpack contraption is a nifty piece of engineering. There's not a ton of content on the 1992 Barricade out there. But, there's some high quality stuff in the smattering I could find around the web.
Barricade Profile
How can you not like this guy? He's Robocop mixed with Sci-Fi mixed with Captain Power. He can fit in with your Robo-Joes, Space Joes, or BF2000 team. And he just looks super cool.
ReplyDeleteI don't always like a lot of silver/gold on figures. Sometimes it can be too much. But it works when done right, especially on futuristic figures like Barricade.
And no neon on a 90's figure is basically a win of it's own.
Oh, and I meant "How can you not like this guy" as a general rhetorical question, not directed at Robot_Sonic, who sounds like he likes Barricade as much as I do!
