In June of 2016, I offered up 30 days of rarities and oddities from the Joe line. Well, I'm going to do it again this year. Starting tomorrow, Rarities and Oddities month part two will commence. I'll be showcasing some rare, odd and hard to find items from the Joe line from all over the world.
I don't have quite enough for every day. So, I'll be taking Sunday's off and maybe looking back at something from last year. As always, these are photos I've collected over the years and are not items from my personal collection. But, all are interesting pieces of Joe history that you don't often see.
Enjoy!
Really looking forward to it, Mike. Question-I seem to remember your site having a different layout with a black background in the early 2000's. Was that you? I used to read your sight when I was supposed to be job hunting, lol. Thanks for keeping the o-ring alive!
ReplyDeleteYep, that was mine. It was black background with neon green text and bright purple links. Very 1990's 100 level HTML. I loved the simplicity. But, the new platform is much more robust and les me do things I could never get done on html.
DeleteMike, rarities month got me to remembering an unreleased Rise of Cobra set that I can't find a picture of anywhere now. It was a Duke "Past and Present" set that would have included a v21 Duke in colors much closer to the original. O-ring collectors were very apathetic to the set at the time and nothing besides one or two pictures of a packaging mock up ever surfaced. Do you know of this set?
ReplyDeleteI do. Check back on June 9th for more info on it. I only focus on the ARAH figure repaints, though.
